Anyone know where we can purchase or rent a full-size Indian tee pee for a reasonable price?
Every year our neighborhood celebrates Halloween together, and we always dress in theme costumes. (Last year was Disney characters, the year before that Wizard of Oz, etc) This year it was decided that we would all dress like Native American Indians. Although it seems far-fetched, we would like to rent or purchase a full-size tee pee. By the time all the neighbors pitch in it shouldn't be that expensive.
Any ideas or tried and true websites? Also, if you have any experience working in the props department for local theaters, you may have some creative suggestions or sources who could help us out with other things, like fake bows and arrows or tomahawks.

You could make one. My family once made one. My dad brought home a few wood poles and proped them up. Buried the ends in the gound. Tied the top ends together. We covered it with white sheets then painted it.

I found that site with plans of how to make one. They make it seem a lot more difficult then what my family did. But it has a lot of other info that might be beneficial to you. Like how to paint the teepee. It has images so you could copy those or use them as a reference guide. It also has a page on picture writing.

Buycostumes.com is a good site. I've pruchased from there plenty of times. They have what I would consider a good section of Indian costumes. Some pretty cool shoes and head dresses.
